My name is Jay Schmidlapp, the president of Specialized Lights LLC. I've been a South Florida resident for over 15 years and also in the industry of aviation and mega yachts during this time. I'm currently flying a twin engine helicopter off a 163' yacht based in Fort Lauderdale. I have always had the love for various types of lights, especially small compact and powerful ones. The technology has come a long way since the first flashlight I owned.

With most of my close friends being in either law enforcement, aviation or the marine industry I saw a huge market for powerful, and dependable lights. I came across a company, AE Light who manufactures just that. I wanted to share the same experience with others as I have had with their products and others.

With the mega yacht industry exploding to record hights and the ever growing demand for better tactical equipment for law enforcement, I set off to supply the latest in technology to fulfill the needs of these various industries.
